New Timeline Updates
over 1 year ago – Wed, Oct 26, 2022 at 02:14:54 PM

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the timeline we're currently looking at.

If you saw my last update, you know that I've been working closely with my printer to make sure that the upgraded deck box is going to be accurately printed and look great! We've finally got that squared away, which means that printing is officially starting!

The printer estimates that the decks will arrive at my door by November 17th!

With the art prints already having arrived, and the guidebooks on the way, I'm expecting that as soon the decks have been dropped off, I'll be ready to begin shipping things out, so we are currently looking at decks to begin shipping out to backers in the second half of November!

I'll post more updates as things progress, but in the meantime, thank you all for your patience!

Quick Printing Updates
over 1 year ago – Fri, Oct 21, 2022 at 03:26:18 AM

I just wanted to share a quick a small update on printing!

Some of you probably saw my recent instagram post and know that I’ve been working on sorting some things out with my printers to get the upgraded deck boxes set up so I thought I would update everyone here on Kickstarter in a little more detail.

They recently sent me some pictures of a test copy of the box they created and while I love how some aspects of it turned out, there were a few things that were a little off and needed adjusted. I’ve been e-mailing back and forth with the printers getting things adjusted so that the box will look perfect. However, because my printer is based in China, we are in very different time zones and communication tends to be a little bit slow. However, we are making progress and I’m waiting on new pictures of the second test print.

The art prints however, are scheduled to be delivered to me very soon! If you backed the deck and are receiving
only art prints as your reward, I’ll be getting those in the mail hopefully very soon.

For most of us who are going to be receiving a deck, thank you for your patience! While your waiting for us to make sure the box looks as amazing as it should, check out this picture of the first test print! The outside of the box was a little skewed and poorly sized for the dimensions of the box, but the inside of the box came out perfectly and I’m excited to share this little sneak peek with you all!

Production Has Begun! Here's an update on the timeline!
over 1 year ago – Tue, Oct 11, 2022 at 03:45:28 AM

I’ve been spending the day gathering numbers on what kind of inventory is needed to fulfill everyone’s pledges, and placing orders with my printers so that we can get started with moving this project forward.

I’ll be using three different printers for this project: one for the cards, one for art prints, and one for books. Each printer has given me some estimates on when I can expect items to arrive which means that our timeline for this project is finally updating!

All three printers expect to have the items printed and delivered to me by the end of October!

In all honesty, I will say that this seems like a fairly ambitious and optimistic time frame considering the sheer volume of printing being done,  but this is what the estimated delivery time is according to the printing services.

If this proves to be accurate, I should be able to begin shipping things out before the month is even finished. Even if the printers wind up not being as quick as they say they will be, I still feel really confident that decks will be reaching your mailboxes by the end of November. There is a lot of shipping that will have to be done but I’m trying to get as prepared as I possibly can be ahead of time, and am planning to enlist some help packing up rewards so that the process of fulfilling those orders can be sped up.

As our timeline stands now, we’re only about a month behind my original plan of fulfilling everything in mid October.

Again, I’m currently expecting to having this shipped out to their new homes by the end of November.

I’ll continue to keep you updated as things develop and the printers finish production and begin sending me the fresh decks!

Production is Set to Start on Monday!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Oct 10, 2022 at 01:25:05 PM

If all goes as planned, I will be getting started on submitting my orders to printers here on Monday!

There are actually THREE printers that are going to be involved in this project; one for decks, one for books, and one for art prints. I’m still waiting on some final last-minute edits for the extended guidebook to ensure it’s as great as it can be, but I’m planning to begin locking everything in on Monday and getting my orders placed with the other printers.

This is not only a quick update just to let you know where we’re at in the process, but to also remind you to fill out your surveys if you haven’t yet! About 90% of surveys have returned, which is great! There are still 10%, but we can only wait for so long and I’ve been told that it’s not realistic to expect quite 100% of them to ultimately be returned- so I’ve made the decision to go ahead and get started.

Please make sure your survey is returned by Monday so that we can guarantee you actually receive your rewards for your generous support!

Don’t forget:

Surveys are being sent by BackerKit, so you’ll be getting an e-mail from them- not Kickstarter.

If you’re a Patreon member, be sure to use the same mailing address in your survey that’s associated with your Patreon account.

Finally, thank you all once again for your support and your patience. Once orders have been placed with the printers, I’m hoping to get a clearer idea of what our timeline for fulfillment will be like, so I will be posting an update about that as soon as I can! Please don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions or concerns about your survey!

Some Minor Updates to Everyone’s Rewards
over 1 year ago – Tue, Oct 04, 2022 at 01:25:11 PM

As you probably know, surveys are currently being sent out and processed, which means that production is going to begin on all of the rewards here in the next couple of weeks!

In the meantime I’ve decided to include two small updates to the final rewards since this campaign went so well! They’re both fairly minor but I hope that you like them!

As you probably already know, because we met all of our stretch goals for this campaign, every deck printed will include an upgraded box, guidebook, and three additional cards. While I’m hoping to keep an inventory of this deck on hand in the future, future prints of the Endless Oracle will likely not be able to include all of these special additions; which are only made possible due to the sheer volume of backers and their financial support.

This makes the “kickstarter edition” of the deck pretty special!

One backer and local art friend suggested that I denote that this is a special edition of the deck somewhere on the box and in the guidebook. I thought this was a great idea! So I decided that I’ll be editing all copies of the deck box and guidebook to include special mention that they were created during the very first print of the deck ever, and are a unique “Kickstarter” edition of the Endless Oracle that will vary from all future editions. If you’re someone who likes special collector-editions of things, this will be a mark of authenticity on your Endless Oracle that lets people know you were one of the very first people to ever use the Endless Oracle!

Everyone’s rewards will also now include a 5x7 inch art print, featuring the artwork of the Endless Oracle’s card backs!

I like to include a handwritten thank you note any time I ship my work to someone-

But with well over 700 packages that are going need to go in the mail soon, I realized that not only will writing handwritten notes slow down the fulfillment process significantly, it will also be murder on my hands!

So instead, I decided to print out thank you notes for these rewards rather than write them all entirely by hand. I realized that if I was going to be doing more printing for this project, why not make one side of the thank-you note an art print that you can hang or display in your home.

Don’t worry- I’ll still be signing everyone’s thank-you note/art print by hand, but this will save time, my hands, and give backers an extra little reward for making this campaign so successful!

Keep an eye on your inbox for surveys as they should already have reached you.

The surveys are the only way I’ll know where your rewards need to go! If you haven’t received your survey, feel free to send me a message so that I can verify your e-mail address and resend it.

If you’re a Patreon member, don’t forget to make sure you fill your survey out with the same mailing address associated with your Patreon account!

Finally, stay tuned for future updates about printing! I’ll be giving everyone a little more time to fill out their surveys and select any last minute add-ons, and then it’ll finally be time for production!
